Talented forward Fraser Hornby joined Everton from Northampton Town at Under-14 level.

Initially a midfielder, Hornby has developed into a skilful and powerful number nine and is a current Scotland Under-21 international.

After finishing the 2016-17 campaign with 13 goals in 17 appearances for the Blues’ Under-18 side, Hornby started the following season in similar scoring form and was promptly promoted to the Under-23 set-up.

The frontman’s impressive displays for David Unsworth’s side saw him handed a senior debut when Everton travelled to Apollon Limassol for their final Europa League group game in December 2017, Hornby starting the game in the Toffees' 3-0 victory.

Hornby went on to enjoy an excellent second half of the campaign with the Under-23s. His link-up play, touch and strength were standout features as he led the line for the young Blues with confidence and authority.

The striker’s development was recognised when he won the prestigious Keith Tamlin Aaward at the season-ending Academy Awards. The accolade honours a player for their “excellence, attitude and application” during their time in the Academy.

Hornby's impressive progress was rewarded as he signed a new three-year contract in the summer of 2018.

He continued to evolve in 2018-19, striking five times in 13 Premier League 2 starts to help Everton Under-23s regain their title. On the international stage, Hornby hit five goals in the space of two games for Scotland Under-21s in September 2018, leading Scot Gemmill's side to successive victories over Andorra and Holland.
